Challenge your opponents online with words!
Wirz - Word Burst is an educational and addictive word game that tests your vocabulary and reflexes.
You can challenge, online and offline, friends and random opponents, the Wirz ers.
Each challenge takes place in three rounds of 90 seconds each. In the first round you have to find and enter words that start and end with two letters chosen by Wirz . In the second and third rounds the words must also contain a third letter inside them.
You can chat at any time with your friends and opponents.
On average a person knows about 20,000 different words, how many do you know? Are you able to find and insert them faster than your opponent? Who has the largest vocabulary?
Choose your strategy: are you a slow Wirz er, with very long and reasoned words, or a fast Wirz er with monosyllables inserted at the speed of light? Take advantage of bonuses for the longest words or the greatest number of words entered.
Reach the first of the game's 21 levels, climb the leaderboard, check your stats and share your results with friends.
With the Wirz Arcade vintage mode you can challenge a friend physically close to you on the same smartphone, even offline.
You can challenge an opposing Wirz er via:
- Search opponent: the last two Wirz ers challenged and a list of randomly chosen Wirz ers to challenge are displayed;
- Facebook opponent: all your Facebook friends who are also Wirz ers, i.e. who have installed Wirz on their smartphone, are displayed;
- Random opponent: an opponent chosen at random from all the Wirz ers is displayed;
- Arcade mode (Premium only): two Wirz ers take turns playing on the same smartphone.
Take advantage of the Training mode and practice entering the words you find as quickly as possible.
Scores:
- the final score is given by the sum of the scores obtained in the individual rounds;
- each letter is assigned a score based on the difficulty of inserting it into meaningful words. The total score assigned to each word found is given by the sum of the scores assigned to the individual letters;
- some letters have multipliers that increase their numerical value;
- bonus points are added to words with more than 8 letters for each additional letter inserted;
- after 15 words the bonus combos are triggered which give hundreds of points;
- the Elo system is the method used to calculate the relative strength of a Wirz er, as in chess; So be careful about losing to those who are ranked worse than you!
Description of permissions for the Wirz app:
- Camera: the Wirz app allows you to take a photo directly using the Android device's camera to upload the user profile image;
- Network communication: Allows the app to transmit information to and from your phone via the Internet.
